Replacement gates for West Lavington Parish Council

Replacement gates were erected today for West Lavington Parish Council.
The gates are sited at the entrance to the Remembrance Avenue of trees planted to commemorate 25 members of the village who went to serve their country in WW1 but did not return.
The site lies between the village and Salisbury Plain military training estate.

Pollarding an avenue of Lime Trees in West Lavington

What a difference a week makes –  storms and strong winds delayed the start to a lime avenue pollarding project in West Lavington.

Great work by all involved  –  2 MEWPS do make it safe and much easier.

See here for details of the MEWPs used by Conservation Contractors

We finally were able to get back to finish the pollards in West Lavington once the school had broken up for Easter. The recent high winds delayed the start of the project
Great job by all involved.

Roadside hedging at West Lavington

Our last post for 2019:  Our task here was to remove some scrubbing roadside hedging on the nasty S bends on the main Devizes to Salisbury Road at West Lavington.  The job was made very much easier by the lack of traffic.  It was unable to be done by hand so needed the tractor and flail time.

See our web page for all our tree and hedging services here.
