Removal of larch trees along a drive
Removal of larch trees along a drive to a country house where we have been removing large conifers surrounding the gardens. They were planted as a screen but had now outgrown their position, so we removed three to allow the drive to be extended with the help of our ROBO-FLAIL.
Hedge trimming box and yew at Avebury Manor
Jamie has been at Avebury Manor trimming the endless box and yew hedges in the gardens – with help from Len, Felix, Matty and Jac.
Table top sawn from cedar
It has taken time and a lot of effort (not by us) but it finally arrived today: a table sawn from the 100′ Cedar of Lebanon tree which was decayed and had to be taken down last year. It comes with a ‘live’ edge and legs cut from the same tree (where it still has the profile of the outside of the tree, rather than cut square = wobbly edges)!
The table is 3.2m long and 1.2m wide and was made by Henry at Hideaways

Our project this week was to erect 200m of post and 3-rail fence with netting for a local housing development in Worton, which hopefully will keep the cows out of the building site!
Mulching Scrub for the National Trust on Cley Hill, Warminster Oct 2022
Ben has been helping us with his roboflail on Cley Hill this week mulching scrub for the National Trust. It’s a lot steeper than it looks!
We were helping to reduce the areas of scrub and bramble that were starting to get established on the steep areas and smother out the grassland. We spent 2 days mulching agreed areas to let the grass re-establish itself.
