Something a little different this week…..
Following the recent building of a stable block ( not built by us ), we have made a turnout area outside, with timber fence and gates, to allow ponies out.
In Rockley, near Marlborough.
Roadside tree works over the highway for the last few days at Bulford. The trees were approx 20m high and a mix of ash, sycamore and oak.
Further details of our tree work may be found here and our tree survey work here
Stage 3 of a 5000 m contract for MoD including mulching and chainsaw work and a lot of hard work.
These works are to create replacement chalk grassland following the loss of an area due to the building of new houses for soldiers in Tidworth.
These next three images show just how steep the terrain was….

A few more pics of the roadside tree works in the north of the county We’ve been cutting back the roadside willows in Marston Meysey – clearing the willow trees that have become too large and are hanging onto the roadway
Marston Meysey is 3 miles (5 km) northeast of Cricklade on the county boundary with Gloucestershire.
Following recent call-outs due to high winds, we were back to work at Drew’s Pond – just south of Devizes – for health and safety works to the trees near and overhanging footpaths.
Drew’s Pond is a small community broadleaved coppiced managed woodland with plenty of paths and good bird and butterfly habitats.
